Performance Management
How effective do you believe your performance management system is?
Does it work, or maybe the question is, are your people really performing to the levels required, so they are contributing to your organisations profit.
Many performance management systems, when we engage with new clients, we find, they are great at fulfilling system requirements and can become form filling exercises.
If people are not engaged or helped by management to perform, and tracked with the intention of development and reaching goals in mind, then performance management isn't really working.
It is very easy to assume that because we have a process and a system, that this is all we need. Unfortunately, with the people aspect, it requires a little bit more to bring real engagement into aligning the work that your people do.
You may be finding that decisions made are not followed through on, or that what your senior leaders intend, is not fully communicated, or that people are not as energised on the vision and strategy as you would have intended.
Is it time to really drill down and find out how :
- engaged your people are in your business, how they perceive their own job, how passionate they are for what your busuines does.
- much trust do your people have in their leaders.
- how aligned your managers are with the vision for the business
